Grădiștei Gorges
The Grădiștei Gorges are located in the Southern Carpathians, positioned between the Piatra Craiului and Bucegi mountains, representing one of Romania's most spectacular karst landscapes. These gorges were formed over millennia by the erosive force of the Grădiștea River, which carved deep into the limestone rock formations. Situated at an altitude of approximately 800 to 1,000 meters, the area is characterized by steep limestone cliffs, dense coniferous forests, and numerous waterfalls, with the Moara Dracului waterfall being the most prominent.
