Established by the Arch family, the park serves as a sanctuary for thousands of iguanas that face threats from habitat loss and hunting in the wild. The animals roam freely throughout the grounds and have become habituated to human presence, offering visitors a unique opportunity for close-up observation and photography. In addition to the reptiles, the park features a marine section with a protected lagoon that is home to large tarpon fish and various other local aquatic species. The mission of the park is to raise awareness about the vital role of reptiles in the ecosystem and to safeguard Roatan's natural heritage.
