Bremen City Hall (Germany)

Weather…

Bremen City Hall, located on the market square, is one of the most significant examples of Brick Gothic and Weser Renaissance architecture in Europe. Constructed between 1405 and 1410 in the Gothic style, it was enhanced in the early 17th century with a magnificent Renaissance facade. Together with the Bremen Roland statue, which symbolizes civic liberty, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2004. Particularly noteworthy is the Upper Hall, featuring historic ship models and ornate carvings. Beneath the town hall lies the famous Bremer Ratskeller, which houses one of the largest collections of German wines with over 600 varieties and guards Germany's oldest cask wine. As the seat of the Senate and the Mayor of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, the building remains a bustling political center and a symbol of Hanseatic self-confidence and heritage.
