The Olympic Park in Munich was constructed on the former Oberwiesenfeld for the XX Summer Olympic Games in 1972 and is regarded as a milestone of modern architecture and landscape planning. The centerpiece of the park is the world-famous tent roof construction, designed by the architectural firm Behnisch & Partner with contributions from Frei Otto, which spans the Olympic Stadium, the Olympic Hall, and the Olympic Swimming Pool. Across a total area of approximately 850,000 square meters, the park harmoniously integrates sporting venues, green spaces, and cultural facilities. A prominent landmark is the 291-meter-high Olympic Tower, which features an observation deck and a revolving restaurant. Following the games, the park evolved into one of Europe's most significant event centers, regularly hosting concerts, festivals, and sporting events. The man-made hills, partially constructed from debris from World War II, along with the Olympic Lake, provide high-quality recreational space for residents and tourists alike.
