The traditional Pentecostal Saint Elizabeth Festival was celebrated in the city with a festive procession and cultural programs. The three-day event in May honored the legacy of Saint Elizabeth, who was born in Sárospatak.

Sárospatak is a historic town situated along the banks of the Bodrog River, frequently referred to as the "Athens on the Bodrog" due to its profound cultural and educational significance.
