Weather…

Lutherstadt Eisleben is a town in Saxony-Anhalt inseparably linked to the life of the reformer Martin Luther. Luther was born here in 1483 and also passed away here in 1546 during a journey. The town preserves a rich heritage from the Reformation era; both Luther's birth house and the house where he died function as museums today and have been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 1996. In addition to the Luther memorials, significant churches define the townscape, including the Church of St. Peter and Paul, where Luther was baptized, and St. Andrew's Church, where he delivered his final sermons. During the late Middle Ages, Eisleben was also an important center for copper shale mining in the Mansfeld basin, which brought temporary great wealth to the town. Today, Eisleben is a prominent site for cultural tourism and a major stop on the Luther Trail, attracting visitors from around the world interested in the history of Protestantism and the reformer's biography.
