The Windsor Assembly Plant is one of Canada's most significant automotive manufacturing facilities, currently operated by Stellantis. Established in 1928, the plant covers a vast area of over 4.4 million square feet in southern Windsor, Ontario. The site gained global recognition in 1983 for the introduction of the modern minivan, a move that fundamentally reshaped the North American automotive market. Today, the facility produces models such as the Chrysler Pacifica and is playing a pivotal role in the transition to electric vehicle manufacturing. With over 4,000 employees, the plant is the region's largest employer and a backbone of the local economy. Its strategic location near the U.S. border facilitates highly efficient logistics within the North American free trade zone, ensuring the long-term competitiveness of the facility.
