Gafadura is an alpine pasture above the municipality of Planken in the Principality of Liechtenstein, situated at an elevation of 1428 meters. The heart of the alp is the Gafadura Hut, which was originally built in the 19th century as a princely hunting lodge and now serves as a mountain hut for the Liechtenstein Alpine Association. Its location on the western slope of the Drei Schwestern range provides an unparalleled view of the Rhine Valley and the opposite Swiss mountains. Historically, the alp was a significant site for noble hunting and summer cattle farming. The surroundings are characterized by dense mountain forests and alpine meadows that host a rich variety of flora and fauna. Hikers value Gafadura as an important stopover on the challenging Drei Schwestern trail. The alp is accessible via a forest road from Planken and serves as a popular destination for day trips and a base for high alpine tours.
