Les Bons is a historic architectural complex in the parish of Encamp, representing one of the most significant Romanesque ensembles in Andorra. At its heart lies the Church of Sant Romà de les Bons, constructed in the 12th century and consecrated on January 23, 1164. The complex also features the ruins of a medieval defensive structure known as the Torre dels Moros (Moors' Tower) and an ancient rock-cut irrigation system. The church follows the Lombard architectural style, with a rectangular floor plan and a semicircular apse that once housed remarkable mural paintings (the originals are now kept in the MNAC in Barcelona). Les Bons is situated on a strategic rocky outcrop that overlooked the entrance to the Valira valley, highlighting its historical military importance. The preservation of the stone buildings and narrow pathways gives an authentic glimpse into medieval Andorran life. Today, the site is a protected cultural heritage asset and a vital part of the principality's national identity.
