Fox Town is a prominent settlement located at the northwestern tip of Little Abaco in the Bahamas. The town serves as the administrative and economic hub for the northern Abaco Islands and is linked to Great Abaco via the Little Abaco Causeway. Historically, the community was heavily dependent on the sponging and fishing industries, which remain vital to the local economy today. Following the extensive damage caused by Hurricane Dorian in 2019, the settlement's infrastructure, including the critical bridge connection, underwent significant reconstruction. Fox Town is situated approximately 80 kilometers northwest of Marsh Harbour and provides direct access to the shallow coral reefs of the Little Bahama Bank. The presence of a primary school, a medical clinic, and local shops ensures essential services for the surrounding rural population. Its geographic positioning makes it a strategic point for maritime activities between the northern cays and the open Atlantic Ocean.
