Designed by German architect Hansjörg Göritz, the structure stands out for its minimalist design language and the use of approximately one million ochre-colored clinker bricks. The complex consists of three main parts: the 'High House' containing the plenary chamber, the 'Connecting House,' and the 'Long House' for parliamentary offices. A particularly striking feature is the High House's steep hipped roof, which creates a visual bridge to the region's traditional architecture. The interior plenary chamber is entirely lined with bricks, creating a solemn atmosphere through its unique acoustics and natural lighting. Located on Peter-Kaiser-Platz directly adjacent to the Government Building, it forms the political heart of the nation.
