Triesenberg Viewpoint 17
The viewpoint in Triesenberg sits on a terrace high above the Rhine Valley and gives a spectacular view of the Liechtenstein capital, Vaduz, as well as the Swiss mountains. Triesenberg is the largest municipality in the country by area and is known for its special history as a Walser settlement, which is still reflected today in the local dialect and architecture. From this point, the prominent peaks of the Alvier massif and the Churfirsten on the opposite side of the valley can be admired. The location at an altitude of over 900 meters often ensures a clear view even when the valley is shrouded in fog, making the place particularly popular in autumn and winter. Hiking trails lead from here into the higher Samina Valley or to the Malbun area, the principality's leading ski resort. The tranquility and fresh alpine air make the viewpoint a convenient location for reflection and nature enjoyment while the wide plain of the Rhine lies far below.
