Certés is a small hamlet in the parish of Sant Julià de Lòria, located in southern Andorra. It sits at an altitude of approximately 1,300 meters on the southeastern slopes of the Valira valley. The settlement is accessible via a winding mountain road that passes through dense forests and traditional stone terraces. Certés is noted for its well-preserved traditional architecture, particularly the "bordas," former agricultural buildings that have partly been converted into residences or holiday rentals. The village's position features one of the best panoramic views of the town of Sant Julià de Lòria and the entire lower valley. Historically, the small community lived exclusively from mountain farming and small-scale livestock rearing. The area surrounding Certés is good for nature observation and light hiking, with paths often leading through pine forests and alpine meadows. Due to the elevation, it enjoys a healthy mountain climate with cool nights even in summer. The seclusion of Certés makes it a retreat for those seeking peace away from major tourist centers. Several nearby viewpoints provide sightlines all the way to the Spanish border.
