Băile Felix (Romania)

Weather…

Băile Felix, located in Bihor County, is the largest permanent balneary resort in Romania, situated just a few kilometers from the city of Oradea. Known for its hot thermal springs with temperatures ranging between 20 and 49 degrees Celsius, the locality features good conditions for recovery and relaxation throughout the year. The curative properties of the waters were known as far back as the Roman period, but systematic development as a modern resort began in the 18th century. A botanical peculiarity of Băile Felix is the thermal water lily (Nymphaea lotus var. thermalis), a rare tertiary relic species that survives naturally in the warm waters of the Pețea Stream. The tourist infrastructure is highly developed, including numerous hotels, water parks, and modern treatment centers for rheumatic and neurological conditions. The mild climate and surrounding oak forests create an environment conducive to rest. In addition to the treatment facilities, the resort gives opportunities for sports and excursions to Oradea.
