Weather…

Spantik, also known as Golden Peak, is a 7,027-meter mountain in the Spantik-Sosbun range of the Karakoram in Gilgit-Baltistan. The mountain is particularly famous for its southeast ridge, known as the 'Golden Pillar', which takes on a spectacular golden color at sunset. The route via this ridge is considered one of the most beautiful and accessible routes to a 7,000-meter peak in Pakistan, making Spantik a popular target for commercial expeditions. The first ascent was made in 1955 by a German expedition. Despite its accessibility, the climb requires good acclimatization and mountaineering experience, as it features long snow slopes and some technical sections. The view from the summit has a wide-open panorama of the surrounding Karakoram peaks, including K2 and Broad Peak in the distance.
