Drei Schwestern (Three Sisters) (Liechtenstein)

Weather…

The Drei Schwestern (Three Sisters) are a prominent mountain group in the Rätikon range, with the highest peak reaching 2,053 meters. They are located on the border between the Principality of Liechtenstein and Austria (Vorarlberg), overlooking the town of Feldkirch. The name originates from a legend according to which three sisters were turned to stone for picking berries on a Sunday. The group consists of the peaks Große Schwester (2,053 m), Mittlere Schwester (2,052 m), and Wolkenstein (2,048 m). The mountains are predominantly composed of Hauptdolomit, which accounts for their rugged and jagged appearance. The Drei-Schwestern-Steig is a famous, partially secured hiking trail that features spectacular views of the Swiss Alps and Lake Constance. It is closely linked to the Fürstensteig trail and represents one of Liechtenstein's classic high-altitude routes, requiring surefootedness and a head for heights.
