The Grossabünt leisure facility in Gamprin is the largest and most modern public swimming area in the Principality of Liechtenstein, officially opened in May 2011. The centerpiece of the 4.5-hectare complex is a man-made swimming lake with a water surface of about 4,500 square meters. What makes this lake unique is its ecological purification system, which operates entirely without chlorine or other chemical additives, using natural regeneration zones instead. In addition to swimming, the facility provides a wide range of sports options, including a climbing wall, football and beach volleyball courts, and extensive lounging and play areas. A key feature of Grossabünt is its open accessibility, as entry to the entire complex is free for all visitors. This has established it as a central social hub for families and young people from the entire Alpine Rhine region. The architectural design blends seamlessly into the flat landscape of the Rhine plain.
