Bohemian Paradise (Český ráj) is the oldest protected landscape area in the Czech Republic, located about 90 kilometers northeast of Prague. The Bohemian Paradise is typically accessed from the towns of Turnov or Jičín, which serve as excellent gateways to the geopark. Regular train and bus connections are usually available from Prague to these main starting points.
Best season
The best time to visit the sandstone rock cities is usually during the warmer months from late spring to early autumn. Summer features pleasant weather for hiking, while autumn provides beautiful foliage colors across the pretty landscapes.
