Burnaby Oil Refinery (Canada)

Weather…

The Burnaby Oil Refinery, operated by Parkland Corporation, is the only refinery on Canada's West Coast and plays an indispensable role in the energy security of British Columbia. Established in 1932, the facility is strategically located on the Burrard Inlet in Burnaby. It processes approximately 55,000 barrels of crude oil per day, primarily sourced from Alberta via the Trans Mountain Pipeline. The refinery produces a significant portion of the gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel used in the region, including supplying Vancouver International Airport. In recent years, Parkland has invested heavily in biofuel co-processing to reduce the facility's carbon footprint. As a major industrial player, the refinery not only ensures fuel supply but is also a significant local employer and contributor to the provincial economy.
