- Access is either by a small taxi boat or via a very steep, challenging footpath. Wear sturdy shoes, not flip-flops.
- Arrive before 10 AM or after 4 PM to avoid the main crowds from the tour boats.
- There is a small bar on the beach, but no other services. Bring your own water and snacks.
- Water shoes are highly recommended because of sea urchins, especially when entering the water near the rocks.

Many boat tours to Stiniva include a lunch of freshly grilled fish. Alternatively, visit a 'konoba' (tavern) in nearby bays like Rukavac.
As options on-site are limited, bringing your own food and drinks is the best option. Enjoy a picnic on the secluded beach.

Buy a bottle of Vugava (white) or Plavac Mali (red) wine directly from wineries or in the shops in the towns of Vis and Komiža.

The beach itself is at its most quiet and peaceful before 10 AM, before the daily tour boats arrive.
Rent a small boat from Rukavac and explore the many smaller, unnamed coves around Stiniva for complete seclusion.
A nearby, more easily accessible pebble beach that offers a quieter alternative if Stiniva gets too crowded.
