Getting there
Access to the local island of Fulhadhoo is typically by speedboat or public ferry departing from Malé. The beach area itself is easily reached by a short walk from the island's main village.
Best season
The most pleasant time for a visit is the dry season from November to April, when the weather is sunny and calm. The lagoon remains accessible year-round, but monsoon rains can occur from May to October.
Terrain & paths
The coastline features soft, powdery white sand that gently slopes into a massive, turquoise lagoon. The terrain is completely flat and very easy to navigate on foot without any rocky obstacles.
What to bring
Lightweight sun protection, reef-safe sunscreen, snorkeling gear for the lagoon, and plenty of drinking water are important. When walking through the local village, modest and covering clothing is required.
Parking
As visitors generally do not use motorized vehicles on the small island, parking facilities are non-existent. The entire area is effortlessly explored on foot or by bicycle from the local guesthouses.

The expansive lagoon is typically free from strong currents, making it a generally safe spot for swimming. However, visitors should always respect the local marine life and be mindful of sudden weather shifts.
