Gamprin Lake, affectionately called the Gampriner Seelein, is the only naturally formed still water body in the Principality of Liechtenstein. Its origin is owed to a devastating Rhine flood in 1927, which left behind a deep erosion that subsequently filled with groundwater. Today, the lake is a protected natural jewel surrounded by a dense belt of reeds, willows, and alders. Despite its small size, it provides an important habitat for numerous waterfowl, fish, and rare insect species. Visitors find a place of absolute silence and relaxation here, made accessible by a well-maintained circular path.
