Weather…

Nyonyane Peak, also known as 'Execution Rock', is a prominent granite dome located within the Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary in the Ezulwini Valley. The peak reaches an elevation of approximately 1,110 meters and is easily recognizable by its steep, bare rock faces. Historically, the site is associated with a grim legend: it is said that in the past, criminals and enemies of the king were executed here by being forced to jump from the edge of the rock into the abyss. Geographically, the peak is part of the Mdimba mountain range and provides a panoramic view over the entire Ezulwini Valley stretching toward the Lebombo Mountains. The vegetation on the slopes consists of hardy succulents and lichens adapted to the extreme conditions on the exposed stone. Today, the peak is a popular destination for hikers who ascend via marked trails to enjoy the scenery. Despite its dark past, Nyonyane Peak now stands as a symbol of Eswatini's natural beauty and its compelling history.
