Cerro Hojas-Jaboncillo is an archaeological site in Manabí province, Ecuador, preserving remains of the Manteño culture from 800 to 1535 AD. The site is located on a hill near the coast and includes residential terraces, ceremonial spaces, and stone monoliths. The Manteño were known for their stone carving and seafaring. The structures are built from local volcanic stone. A special feature are the so-called 'Sillas' (chairs), interpreted as thrones for chiefs. Excavations have revealed shell work, pottery, and gold ornaments. Cerro Hojas-Jaboncillo is part of a larger archaeological complex and has insight into the complex Manteño society, which traded with other pre-Columbian cultures, including the Inca.
