Weather…

Telč is frequently referred to as a 'fairytale town,' and for good reason. Its historic center, encircled by man-made fishponds that once served as a defense system, has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1992. The heart of the town is the elongated Zachariáš z Hradce square, lined with dramatic Renaissance and Baroque houses. Following a major fire in the 16th century, the town was rebuilt with a unified architectural vision, featuring continuous arcades and ornate gables in spirited pastel colors, creating one of the most harmonious urban ensembles in Europe. Dominating one end of the square is Telč Chateau, a masterpiece of Moravian Renaissance architecture. Redesigned by Italian masters, its interiors are exceptionally well-preserved, with the Golden Hall's intricately carved wooden ceiling being a particular highlight. The chateau is surrounded by an elegant English-style park and a neoclassical greenhouse. The town's atmosphere is remarkably tranquil, great for slow exploration and enjoying local Moravian pastries in one of the many cafes tucked under the arcades. Beyond its architectural splendor, Telč serves as a gateway to the scenic Vysočina Region. The surrounding ponds offer beautiful reflections of the town's skyline and provide a peaceful setting for walks. During the summer, the square comes alive with historical markets, music festivals, and folklore performances. Located between Prague and Brno, Telč is easily accessible and provides a unique, museum-like experience where every corner tells a story of artistic revival and preservation.
