Llorts is a historically significant village in the parish of Ordino, located in northern Andorra. It is primarily known for its centuries-old tradition of ironworking, which is now celebrated through the 'Ruta del Ferro' (Iron Route). A main attraction is the Llorts Mine, which was operational in the 19th century and now features visitors insights into the grueling work of miners. The village sits at an elevation of about 1,410 meters on the banks of the Valira del Nord river and has preserved its authentic appearance with narrow streets and traditional stone houses. The Church of Sant Serni de Llorts, a small Romanesque building, testifies to the deep religious roots of its inhabitants. Surrounded by steep mountains and dense forests, Llorts gives a peaceful atmosphere away from the major commercial centers. In the past, the village was a vital stop for transporting ores to the local forges (fargues). Today, it is a starting point for hikes to the Estany de l'Estanyó and other high-altitude lakes. Agriculture, particularly sheep farming, still plays a role in the local economy. Llorts is essentially a living museum of Andorran industrial history.
