Die Île de Bréhat ist eigentlich ein Archipel aus zwei Hauptinseln, die bei Ebbe durch eine Brücke verbunden sind. Die Insel ist vollkommen autofrei, was eine ruhige Atmosphäre für Wanderer und Radfahrer schafft. Dank des Golfstroms herrscht hier ein mildes Mikroklima, in dem sogar Agapanthus-Blumen und Palmen gedeihen. Die Küstenlandschaft ist geprägt von markanten rosa Granitformationen, die besonders im Licht der Abendsonne leuchten. Der 1860 erbaute Leuchtturm Phare du Paon im Norden bietet einen weiten Blick über den Ärmelkanal. Besucher erreichen die Insel nach einer zehnminütigen Fährüberfahrt von der Pointe de l'Arcouest bei Paimpol. Die schmalen Wege führen vorbei an alten Steinhäusern und gepflegten Gärten. Neben dem Tourismus spielt die Glasbläserei in der Verreries de Bréhat eine wichtige handwerkliche Rolle. Die beste Zeit für einen Besuch ist der Frühling oder Frühsommer, wenn die namensgebenden Blumen in voller Blüte stehen.
