Chaco Canyon is a UNESCO World Heritage site open to the public for self-guided exploration of the great houses and kivas. Many structures are accessible from outside, while some areas require a ranger-led tour.

The park is open year-round from sunrise to sunset, with the visitor center operating from 8 am to 5 pm. Check NPS website for seasonal changes.
