Ndayane Deepwater Port (Senegal)

Weather…

The Ndayane Deepwater Port, currently under construction, is the most ambitious infrastructure project in modern Senegal. Located approximately 50 kilometers south of Dakar, it is being developed in collaboration with global port operator DP World. With an investment exceeding one billion USD, Ndayane is intended to relieve and complement the Port of Dakar as West Africa's premier maritime gateway. The port is designed to accommodate the world's largest container vessels, made possible by a water depth of up to 18 meters. Adjacent to the port, a massive special economic zone will be established to attract industrial and logistical firms. This megaproject is a cornerstone of the Plan Sénégal Émergent, aimed at reinforcing the country's status as a regional trade hub. Construction is progressing in multiple phases and will feature state-of-the-art automated terminal technologies.
