The most famous formation in the valley is Amin Brakk, a massive granite face that ranks among the most challenging technical climbs globally. Geographically, the valley is characterized by a stark contrast between lush greenery at the base and sheer, vertical rock walls rising above. Unlike the crowded base camps of K2 or Broad Peak, Nangma has a secluded and untouched atmosphere for adventurers. The valley is also home to the Karakoram ibex and provides handy conditions for trekking and high-altitude photography. The local community of Kanday supports expeditions with their extensive experience as porters and mountain guides. Due to its unique geology, which bears a striking resemblance to Yosemite Valley in the USA, it has earned the nickname 'the Yosemite of the Karakoram.'
