Strășeni is a prominent city in central Moldova, serving as the administrative capital of the Strășeni District. First documented in 1545, the city has a long history intertwined with the regional development of the Bessarabian area. It is located just 23 kilometers northwest of Chișinău, located near the famous Codru forest, the largest woodland in the country. Strășeni is widely recognized for its viticulture, hosting several wineries that take advantage of the region's fertile soil and favorable climate.
