Hesperange is a strategically important municipality located directly south of Luxembourg City. The town's landmark is the ruins of the medieval Hesperange Castle, built in the 13th century by the Lords of Rodemack overlooking the Alzette valley. After the castle was destroyed by the troops of Maximilian I in 1480, it lost its military significance but remained a historical symbol of the region. Today, Hesperange is one of the wealthiest and fastest-growing municipalities in the country, primarily due to its proximity to the Kirchberg financial center and the Cloche d'Or business district. The municipality provides a high quality of life with extensive green spaces such as Hesper Park and modern leisure facilities. Infrastructure is continuously expanded to accommodate the steady growth of residents and businesses. In addition to Hesperange, the towns of Alzingen, Fentange, Howald, and Itzig belong to the commune, forming a dynamic urban area.
