The Serasa Ferry Terminal, located in Muara, is the primary maritime gateway for passengers and vehicles traveling between Brunei, the Malaysian island of Labuan, and other destinations in Sabah. Opened in 1997, it has significantly facilitated regional travel and commerce. The terminal handles multiple high-speed ferry services daily and is a key hub for duty-free trade, particularly with Labuan, an international offshore financial center. In addition to passengers, it also transports vehicles, linking land transport and tourism between Brunei and East Malaysia. The terminal includes immigration and customs clearance facilities, waiting lounges, and duty-free shops. It plays a vital role in the local economy by boosting tourism and providing an essential transport link for business travelers and locals alike.
