Welchman Hall is a scenic village located in the central highlands of Barbados, within the parish of Saint Thomas. It is best known as the home of the Welchman Hall Gully, a deep limestone ravine that was formed by the collapse of an ancient cave system. This lush botanical attraction is a remnant of the island's original forest and serves as a habitat for exotic plants, including the first nutmeg trees introduced to the island, and the native green monkeys. Because of its elevated position, Welchman Hall enjoys a refreshingly cool and temperate climate compared to the humid coastal areas, making it a favorite spot for nature lovers. The village is also located just minutes away from the world-renowned Harrison's Cave, placing it at the very center of the island's geological and eco-tourism offerings.
