Hunnainiyah Park is located in the heart of Riffa, adjacent to the historic Riffa Fort, and occupies a geologically significant valley known as Wadi Al-Hunnainiyah. This location holds deep historical importance as it once housed the region's most vital freshwater sources; the wells of Hunnainiyah were famous for the purity and quality of their water. In 2017 and 2018, the park underwent extensive modernization to cater to the growing population of Riffa. The current facility includes expansive green lawns, modern playgrounds, and jogging tracks that integrate seamlessly with the natural depression of the valley. Geographically, the park provides shelter from the strong winds characteristic of the Riffa plateau, creating a microclimate that supports local flora.
