Busselton is a popular holiday destination located in the South West region of Western Australia. Situated on the sheltered shores of Geographe Bay, the city is best known for the Busselton Jetty, which holds the title of the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Stretching nearly two kilometres out to sea, the jetty features an underwater observatory at its end, providing visitors with a unique glimpse into the animated marine life of the area without needing to get wet. The coastal environment around Busselton is defined by pristine, white sandy beaches and calm, turquoise waters that are excellent for swimming, snorkeling, and family picnics. The foreshore area has been extensively redeveloped to include excellent playgrounds, bike paths, and barbecue facilities. During the migration seasons, the waters of Geographe Bay are also an excellent vantage point for spotting humpback and southern right whales. As the gateway to the renowned Margaret River wine region, Busselton's culinary scene is thriving.
