An excellent viewpoint is the roof terrace of the hotel in Ghardaia, from where the entire oasis with its palm trees and mud-brick buildings can be seen. Also the citadel of Béni Isguen gives a wide view over the M'zab Valley.

In the Ghardaia Oasis, markets offer dried fruits such as dates, apricots and figs. Handwoven carpets and traditional pottery from the region are also available.
