- La salita al Castello di Lerici è ripida ma offre la miglior vista sul Golfo dei Poeti; cerca di andarci intorno al tramonto.
- Prendi il traghetto per Portovenere o per le Cinque Terre invece di guidare, perché parcheggiare su questa costa è notoriamente difficile.
- San Terenzo è a pochi minuti lungo il suggestivo lungomare e spesso ha spiagge sabbiose più morbide.
- Presta massima attenzione ai cartelli della ZTL all’ingresso del paese: i non residenti saranno multati, quindi parcheggia nei grandi parcheggi a pagamento fuori dal centro.

Lerici liegt malerisch am östlichen Ende des Golfs von La Spezia, der aufgrund der vielen hier ansässigen Schriftsteller als 'Golf der Poeten' bekannt wurde. Berühmtheiten wie Lord Byron und Percy Bysshe Shelley fanden hier Inspiration für ihre Werke. Das markanteste Merkmal der Stadt ist das mächtige Castello di Lerici, das auf einer Klippe über dem Hafen thront. Die Festung aus dem 13. Jahrhundert gilt als eine der imposantesten Verteidigungsanlagen Liguriens und beherbergt heute ein paläontologisches Museum. Das historische Zentrum besticht durch seine typischen hohen, schmalen Häuser in warmen Pastelltönen und lebhaften Piazzen wie der Piazza Garibaldi. Eine wunderschöne Küstenpromenade verbindet Lerici mit dem benachbarten Ort San Terenzo und führt an gepflegten Stränden und versteckten Felsbuchten vorbei. Im Gegensatz zu den oft überlaufenen Orten der Cinque Terre bewahrt Lerici eine entspannte, authentische Atmosphäre und ist ein beliebter Rückzugsort für Segler und Wanderer. Für Aktivurlauber bietet der Naturpark Montemarcello-Magra zahlreiche Wanderwege mit Panoramablick. Ein Muss ist eine Bootsfahrt nach Portovenere oder zu den Inseln Palmaria und Tino. Die lokale Gastronomie ist berühmt für ihre Miesmuscheln (Muscoli) und frischen Fisch. Die beste Reisezeit ist von Mai bis Oktober, wobei besonders die Sommermonate zum Baden einladen. Lerici ist am einfachsten mit dem Bus von La Spezia oder mit der Fähre erreichbar.
