Otok Ist smješten je sjeverno od Molata i prepoznatljiv je po svom neobičnom obliku koji podsjeća na dva krila leptira spojena uskom prevlakom. Jedino naselje na otoku smjestilo se upravo na toj prevlaci između dvije duboke uvale, što ga čini jednim od najomiljenijih stajališta za nautičare koji plove prema Kvarneru. Najmarkantnija točka otoka je brdo Straža na kojem se nalazi crkvica Gospe od Zdravlja s koje se pruža spektakularan pogled na cijeli arhipelag. Ist je mirna oaza bez automobila, idealna za one koji traže bijeg od užurbane svakodnevice u autentičnom otočkom okruženju.
