Seoul Forest (South Korea)

Weather…

Seoul Forest is a large-scale public park in the Seongdong-gu district, opened in June 2005. Covering an area of approximately 1.16 square kilometers, it serves as a green lung for the metropolis and is divided into five thematic zones: the Culture and Art Park, Ecological Forest, Wetland Ecological Field, Nature Experience Study Field, and the Han River Riverside Park. Historically, the site served as a royal hunting ground, Seoul's first water treatment plant, and later a horse racing track and golf course. A standout feature of the Ecological Forest is the deer enclosure, where fallow deer and elk roam in a naturalistic habitat. The park's development was characterized by significant civic engagement, involving over 5,000 donors and volunteers. Today, it hosts over 100 different bird species and functions as a major center for urban ecological education and recreation.
