Ramsgate is a photogenic village on the Hibiscus Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, known for its relaxed charm and natural beauty. Unlike its livelier neighbor Margate, Ramsgate provides a quieter, more residential atmosphere. Ramsgate Main Beach holds Blue Flag status and is tucked away in a sheltered bay surrounded by lush subtropical vegetation. landmark is 'The Waffle House', a local institution since 1957, world-renowned for its sweet and savory waffles. For nature enthusiasts, the 'Marine Ramble' scenic path features a beautiful walking route along the coastline, connecting Ramsgate to neighboring villages. During the winter months, the town's whale-watching deck is a well-suited spot to witness humpback whales on their annual migration. The area is also a golfer's paradise, with several top-rated golf courses located in the immediate vicinity. Ramsgate is easily accessible from Durban via the N2 highway (about 1 hour and 40 minutes). The mild subtropical climate makes it a great year-round destination, with spring (September to November) being particularly beautiful as the coastal flora comes into full bloom.
