Weather…

The Alassane Ouattara Bridge, also known as the 'Fifth Bridge' or the Cocody Bridge, is Abidjan's newest architectural landmark. This elegant cable-stayed bridge connects the Plateau and Cocody districts and was officially inaugurated on August 12, 2023. Featuring a prominent 108-meter-high pylon that is spectacularly illuminated at night, it has become a central feature of the city's skyline. The bridge has a total length of 630 meters and spans the Cocody Bay with a main span of 200 meters. Its primary function is to significantly reduce traffic congestion between the central business district and the eastern residential neighborhoods. Designed and managed in collaboration with the Moroccan firm Marchica Med, it is hailed as a technical masterpiece in West Africa. The bridge serves as both a vital transit link and a symbol of Côte d'Ivoire's ongoing economic modernization.
