Lippo Centre (Hong Kong SAR China)

Weather…

The Lippo Centre, standing prominently in Hong Kong's Admiralty district, is an architectural masterpiece of the 1980s. Completed in 1988 and designed by the legendary American architect Paul Rudolph, the twin towers are globally renowned for their unique "climbing koala" aesthetic. This visual effect is achieved through protruding glass sections that wrap around the towers, creating a complex, textured facade that departs from the standard flat glass box design. Originally commissioned as the Bond Centre, it was later acquired by the Lippo Group. Reaching heights of 172 and 186 meters, the buildings house a high concentration of legal firms, international businesses, and foreign consulates. The grand atrium lobby, featuring extensive use of marble and modern art, serves as an impressive entrance to one of the city's most prestigious corporate addresses. A definitive symbol of Hong Kong's economic growth, the Lippo Centre remains a highlight of the Victoria Harbour skyline.
