Located on the verdant eastern coast of Lefkada, Vlycho is a quiet and traditional settlement built around a strikingly deep bay. The calm, mirror-like waters of the bay make it a highly sought-after natural harbor, providing excellent shelter for sailboats and yachts throughout the summer. The village itself maintains an authentic Greek character, featuring family-run tavernas serving fresh seafood and local delicacies right by the water's edge. The relaxing view of the anchored boats makes dining here a special experience. Just a short distance from the village lies the gorgeous Desimi Beach. Set in a small, curved cove, this pebble beach is home to incredibly clear emerald waters and is flanked by tree-covered cliffs. It's a wonderful spot to rent a canoe, explore the nearby small sea caves, and enjoy a relaxing day under the Mediterranean sun.
