Jubilee House (Ghana)

Weather…

Jubilee House, located in the capital city of Accra, is the official presidential palace and seat of government of Ghana. The building was constructed on the grounds of the historic Flagstaff House and was completed in 2008 during the administration of President John Kufuor. Its architectural design is modeled after a traditional Ashanti stool, which is a powerful cultural symbol of authority and governance in Ghana. The construction was partially funded by a soft loan from the Indian government and coincided with the 50th anniversary of Ghana's independence. In 2018, the facility was officially renamed Jubilee House, moving away from the colonial association of its previous name. The complex houses the Office of the President, the National Security Council, and various administrative wings. It stands as a significant symbol of Ghana's political sovereignty and serves as the primary location for high-level diplomatic and state functions.
