Weather…

The Taba Protected Area in southern Sinai covers an area of about 3,590 square kilometers and is characterized by its mountain formations and deep canyons. The region is a sanctuary for rare wildlife such as the Nubian ibex, the rock hyrax, and the rare Arabian leopard. Geologically, the protected area gives a variety of rock layers millions of years old, as well as hidden caves with ancient inscriptions. The park's flora includes over 480 plant species, many of which are endemic and have adapted to extreme desert conditions. From the high plateaus of the protected area, one has expansive views over the Gulf of Aqaba to the coasts of Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The area is also known for its prehistoric sites such as the Nawamis tombs, which are among the oldest free-standing stone structures in the world.
