💡 Tips
- Mutogras is quieter than central Podstrana; excellent for morning swims when the sea is calmest.
- Parking along the D8 highway can be tight; try to walk from your accommodation if possible.
- Bring water shoes, as the beautiful beaches are entirely pebbly and rocky in spots.
- The coastal promenade connects it to neighboring villages, making it convenient for a sunset stroll towards Split.
🍽 Food
At beachside konobas. Try the local grilled fish caught daily and served right by the sea.
At local bakeries. A traditional Dalmatian savory pastry filled with Swiss chard and garlic.
At local taverns. A classic appetizer plate perfectly paired with local wine.
🛍 Shopping · 🧘 Quiet spots
Small kiosks along the coast. Great for picking up water shoes and sunscreen.
Highway stalls. Local vendors often sell fresh figs or citrus fruits during the summer season.
The pebble shoreline is very peaceful before the day visitors arrive. Handy for a quiet start.
Along the sea. Find a quiet bench facing the islands, away from the highway noise.

Mutogras is the southernmost part of the Podstrana municipality, situated directly beneath Mount Perun. The settlement is famous for its kilometers of pebble beaches that gently slope into the sea, making them handy for families. The combination of the blue sea and the steep rock walls in the background creates an impressive backdrop typical of the Dalmatian coast. The history of the area is closely linked to the Illyrian tribe of Dalmatians, and legends about Mount Perun still shape local culture today. In Mutogras, visitors will find numerous private accommodations, apartments, and small guesthouses offering personalized service. Along the coastal road, there are cozy restaurants (konobas) serving fresh fish and local olive oil. The location is excellent for excursions: the city of Split with Diocletian's Palace is only about 10 kilometers away, and the pirate town of Omiš to the south is also quickly reachable. Active vacationers can hike up Mount Perun in the early morning hours to experience the sunrise over the islands of Brač and Šolta. Mutogras has the excellent balance between relaxed beach life and cultural exploration.
