Water temperature…
Located on the south coast of Barbados in the parish of Christ Church, Graeme Hall represents the island's last significant mangrove ecosystem. This ecologically diverse area features a mix of red and white mangroves surrounding a large brackish water lagoon. The Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary within the site is a critical habitat for local wildlife and serves as a vital stopover for countless species of migratory birds traveling the Atlantic Flyway between North and South America. Beyond its importance for birdwatching, the swamp supports various fish, crustaceans, and specialized plant life that are increasingly rare elsewhere on the island. Despite the pressures of surrounding urban development, Graeme Hall remains a sanctuary of natural beauty and biological importance, offering a glimpse into the pristine coastal environments that once characterized much of the shoreline of Barbados.
