Fitts Village is a coastal village in St. James, Barbados, located on the west coast about 8 km north of Bridgetown. The village lies on a narrow coastal plain backed by coral limestone terraces. The beach consists of fine white sand mixed with shell fragments, derived from the adjacent coral reefs. The offshore area features a fringing reef system that provides natural protection from waves. The village experiences a tropical climate with a mean annual rainfall of 1,100 mm. Vegetation includes a mix of planted coconut palms and native coastal scrub. Freshwater supply comes from the underlying aquifer, which is recharged by rainfall. Land use is predominantly residential with small-scale agriculture in the hinterland.
The most pleasant time to visit is Jan–Mar.
